You had me at "LENOVO"......

I am so very pleased with this laptop. I did my research of several brands and kept coming back to Lenovo (I had to replace my other one due to the Windows 10 not updating after October). So then is when the research really began to find one that fits my needs and budget. With help from the chat rep and all that I needed to have on a perfect laptop.....it was a simple choice to order it. I even got some money back due to a price change which made this an even sweeter deal. It was so easy with the set up and the functionality of this laptop, I did not go wrong. This is the 3rd Lenovo we have ordered for this family and I cannot say enough about this brand.

Premium laptop, great performance, competitive

I bought this 16" laptop for my student son. Primay usage will include coding, video conferencing, gaming as well as browsing. He may possibly install Linux with a dual-boot partition for his college needs. The latop has a very satisfactory peformance with the Intel Core5 processor and 16GB of RAM (which is expandable). I got it at a very competetive price with a student discount of Rs.1700. Best part was the additional discount on contacting the Lenovo sales executive, as well as cash-back on credit card payment. I got it for about 53K post all discounts and cash back.

This laptop is awesome. I have had many other brands over the years, but this is the most ergonomic with the numeric keyboard included. The power and speed are excellent, and the battery life is amazing. It's lightweight, quick to power up, and very reliable. I use this for personal and some light business activity and it is performing at a level that exceeds my expectations. 5 Stars, very happy customer.

Great Potential, But Falls Short for Business

The Thinkbook may be good for personal use but I would not recommend for business purposes, as we've encountered problems because of the Azure feature. There are too many bugs and glitches that need to be fixed with this version. It has been a challenge troubleshooting the Window Hello feature. I will be contacting Lenovo to request a return on one of the devices. I am not impressed.

Fast, Easy, and a Big Upgrade from Dell

We recently purchased four ThinkBook 16 Gen 8 Intel laptops to replace some aging Dell machines, and the experience has been great from start to finish. The ordering process was smooth and straightforward, and the laptops shipped quickly—much faster than expected. Setup was easy, and everything from unboxing to deployment went without a hitch. Our employees immediately noticed the performance improvement and love the speed and responsiveness of these machines. These ThinkBooks have been a solid upgrade in every way. Highly recommended for any business looking to streamline purchasing and boost productivity with a reliable, high-performance laptop.

Failure to Deliver

UPS delivered this PC to the wrong city and state and I am unclear if the error was on UPS or Lenovo. Two days after ordering the PC, I received a notice stating that the PC had been returned as undeliverable. This was odd because, according to the shipping tracking, it had not left the shipping facility. The next day, the PC was in transit and spent three days in Greensboro, NC; I live in Columbia, SC. After the three days, the PC was delivered to a house in another town in NC. I contacted Lenovo, and they issued a refund despite my multiple requests not to do so. I never asked for itbe refund and it was processed immediately. I was told that once the process was started, it could not be stopped. I do not believe that is true. I repeated that Lenovo or UPS made the mistake and owed me a PC. I was told to contact the pre-sales team and work with them. . Issuing a refund within 10 seconds of the start of the customer support call is not a path to resolution. This felt like a known shipping issue, and a process was in place to automatically refund and close the issue.

Great Lightweight Laptop for Both Home & Work

I purchased this laptop to replace my parents' aging, painfully slow HP Pavilion laptop they purchased back in 2011. My dad largely favors using his iPad now, but he does have a trail camera and a few other things that use SD cards, so finding a laptop that had a built-in card reader was a must and this is currently one of the last laptop models that still include one. The Thinkbook series aims to be a more lightweight, more affordable version of the Thinkpad, both marketed toward the business consumer, but it was perfect and checked all the boxes of what my parents would need for casual home use and includes a lot of the latest features that have come to laptops in recent years, like always-on USB charging and Windows Hello with both infrared camera and fingerprint scanner. The desk where my parents use the laptop, since they never actually use it as a laptop, is right next to two windows that face south and often have bright sunlight coming in and the display is plenty bright at 300 nits and the backlit keyboard is a huge benefit to my mother, who often types minutes to her retired teachers' meetings and some other things at night and used to drag and reposition a desk lamp in order to see the keyboard as well as her handwritten notes. It has just enough ports, 2 USB-A, 2 USB-C (one Thunderbolt 4), HDMI and still has an Ethernet connection (something I've read is also starting to disappear from laptops). The build quality is excellent, the laptop is very lightweight and portable and the price paid was very reasonable, even buying a configurable option. There are two minor complaints I have with the laptop. The first is that the hinge is too stiff for the laptop's weight making any reposition of the screen and two-handed task. Opening it initially, it will come up about an inch, just enough for you to take your other hand and grab the bottom half to hold it down while you open it. Every movement from that point to opening it fully you will have to hold the bottom half of the computer in place or it will just move with it. The second I failed to notice when looking at product photos and that is that there is no dedicated power port, the computer power is delivered using the power delivery function of the USB-C port, which means that one of the two available will be occupied most of the time you are using the computer. Thankfully, the most logical one to use at the rear is not the Thunderbolt 4 enabled one. There are hubs for USB connections and this isn't something that negatively affects my parents' use of the computer, but it is worth pointing out to anyone that might be considering this laptop. Overall, this laptop seems like it is perfect, it's speedy, not overloaded with bloatware (it barely includes any!), the new version of Lenovo Vantage even lets you customize your own boot screen logo! If you're looking for a good, fast, not feature overloaded or overpriced laptop that will complete your regular day-to-day tasks, browse the web, check email, sync with a phone, even cast video or audio to your TV or Bluetooth speakers, then the Thinkbook is an excellent option for you.

Brings all the laptop required functionality, with a great 16" display. The extended keyboard is a feature I haven't used yet on this machine, but I know it's going to come in handy. Not 5-star because I think the battery should last even longer out of the box -- I have no idea if they have any more room within the case.

Nice system but could be better. No major complaints with the unit although one item I do not like is the fact Lenovo advertises a numeric keypad but does not say it's a reduced size keypad. Personally, I feel the entire keyboard is smaller than normal. It would also be nice to have the option of a better screen/display. I would definitely have spent money to upgrade it

I absolutely love this laptop. It is thin, slick, and responsive. The keyboard is a dream. The monitor is great, the touch features convenient, and I'm able to have my research references and my typing software open at the same time comfortably. It's quiet and compact. It is extremely sturdy and I really appreciate the silver finish. It is very easy on the eyes. I would easily recommend this to anyone looking for a writing or research computer.

Lenovo ThinkBook 16 Gen 8 (Intel, 16") Review

(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) The Lenovo ThinkBook 16 Gen 8 is an excellent laptop that strikes a great balance between performance and price. Powered by Intel’s latest processors, it handles day-to-day tasks and heavier workloads with ease. Whether it’s for work, study, or casual use, the performance feels consistently snappy and reliable. The large 16" display offers plenty of screen real estate, making multitasking smooth and comfortable. Build quality also feels solid, and the keyboard and trackpad are comfortable for long sessions. However, after three weeks of daily use, I noticed one drawback: the Wi-Fi connection. About five times so far, the laptop has suddenly dropped connection to my home router, while all other devices stayed connected without issue. Each time, the only fix was restarting the laptop — which can be pretty frustrating, especially during meetings or downloads. If Lenovo can patch the Wi-Fi stability issue through a driver update or BIOS fix, this laptop would easily deserve a full 5-star rating. As it stands, it’s a strong 4 out of 5 — a fantastic choice for those prioritizing performance and value, but be aware of potential network hiccups.
