This is a great laptop geared for engineers like myself, quick robust and has the desired ports to connect devices. The only other thing that would had made this perfect would has been a touch screen.

The Dell hardware platform is tried and proven and provides a stable baseline that remains dependable. The newly added AMD architecture allows users to deviate from the Intel stack where preferred, however, I could not find a easily quantifiable performance difference between the two units. The Support Assistant software has some challenges when privileges are not administrative, the Optimizer and Peripheral Manager tools can be frustrating, but the hardware remains top tier - trusted to continue to operate consistently over time - and with the Dell support and warranty options, I think it'd be very hard to beat at the cost point - definitely a dependable workhorse for the enterprise!

Goes from office machine to home tablet in a second. What a wonderfully flexible machine. I've got the dock as well and that makes adding 2 larger screens for office work a sinch. Having said that, there are plenty of ports to use it without a dock.
